Downtown Void High School

Our Mission

Downtown Void High School was established to serve students whose stories did not end when their heartbeat did. We welcome:

• Students who passed away before graduating
• Living transfer students from districts bordering the Void
• Cross-era arrivals displaced by temporal events

Our focus is academic growth, emotional healing, and helping students integrate the circumstances of their death into a life (and afterlife) narrative that feels survivable.

Who We Serve

DVHS currently enrolls students from multiple decades and realities. Homerooms and support services are organized by:

• Age at death or enrollment
• Era of origin (e.g., 1970s, 2000s, etc.)
• Cause of death or displacement (when relevant)
• Haunt intensity and stability

Note: No student is required to share details of their death with peers. Staff will never use your cause of death as a “learning example” without consent.
